Q: Is "Connie De Alwis" your real name? What's your race?
A: Explanation [here]
Q: What kind of contact lenses do you wear?
A: Explanation [here]
Q: What is Daiso? And where is it?
A: [This] is Daiso. It's located at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. Map [here]. The map is very clear as it shows the many directions that you could be coming from to get to The Curve. If you can't find your way with this map, I'd suggest that you take the Putra LRT to Kelana Jaya and take a cab to The Curve from there so you wouldn't get lost.
Q: How can I buy e.l.f./NYX/other-stuff-unavailable-in-Malaysia?
A: You can get most US cosmetics from sgdrugstore. If I've bought the products from another seller, I would most likely have included a link to the seller. Please check the review posts as I won't repeat the sellers' link every time I mention the product in a post.
Q: Can you please review [insert product that has already been reviewed]?
A: If you'd like me to review a product that you've seen me using, try searching for the product using the search box located on the right sidebar. For instance, if you'd like me to review "RMK foundation", type that into the search box and all the posts with RMK foundation will be listed out which will include the review. If you can't view the right sidebar, you're most probably using Iinternet Explorer. Try using Mozilla Firefox instead.
Q: Can you please review [insert product that I don't own and/or have not tried using]?
A: Please understand that it's quite impossible for me to review products that I don not own or have not used repeatedly on my own face before. I wouldn't mind at all if you'd like to send me products to review though ;)
Q: How can I improve my makeup application skills?
A: I assume that even makeup artists were not born with makeup skills although some may be quite talented at it. Safe to say, I was not born with an eyeshadow brush in my hand. In fact, I've only been into makeup for less than 3 years. I have not attended makeup courses either. All I know I've learned from observing techniques and styles in magazines, books, forums, blogs, YouTube videos and taking in advise from people more skilled than I am. The rest of it has a lot (and I mean A LOT) of practice. Just be patient, practice and don't be afraid to learn. Eventually you'll pick up on the skill :)
Q: How can I purchase the 88-color palette from you?
A: Please read [this]
Q: How can you afford to buy so many cosmetics?
A: No, I don't go spending my allowance on makeup. Almost all of the cosmetics that I own were obtained with hard earned money from working part time. I work part time as much as I can despite being a full time student. Besides that, I'm rather budget conscious and I'm always on the lookout for bargains. Many of my cosmetics are second hand, even. To compensate for spending on cosmetics, I cut costs on clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.
Q: How much is $xxUSD in Ringgit?
A: Please refer to www.xe.com for the currency exchange rate. The reason I do not do direct conversions when I quote prices because the exchange rate frequently changes. Some of my US products are also obtained through spreers who charge more on the products. For instance, I get e.l.f. $1 products at RM10. I've also gotten them at RM8 and RM6 before but they have always remained as $1. Some products are also paid via credit card and when I pay sellers using credit card, I pay in US Dollars and not Ringgit. Also, do take in consideration of how much it costs for the products to get to Malaysia. I may have bought something at $2 but plus a $6 shipping, I've paid $8 for the product itself thus when converted into RM, it'll cost a hell lot more.
Q: Which [insert product type] did you use for this look?
A: For almost all (I'd say over 90%) of my looks, I have listed down the full list of products used to achieve a particular look. So, if you like a certain color of lipstick that I'm wearing, for instance, I ask you to please check the "Items Used:" list before leaving me a comment or sending me an e-mail asking me such a question.
Q: Can you do a tutorial for [insert similar look that has already been done]?
A: I try not to be repetitive. Seriously, would you like it if I had like 10 tutorials on the classic black and silver smokey eyes with the same style? The tutorials are meant as a guide and I have over 80 tutorials for you to choose from. If you really can't find the look that you want in those 80 tutorials, feel free to request. The best way to request for a tutorial is to provide me with a sample picture so that I'd have an idea of what you'd like to see OR you could request for looks using particular combination of colors, eg: "Can you do a tutorial using blue and pink eyeshadow?"
Q: Can you do a tutorial for people with [insert eye shape/skin tone/face shape/eye color/ethnicity]?
A: I would love to learn how to do makeup on all sorts of people but I don't have enough guinea pigs. Every now and then, I'll try to use my friends as models but it's not easy to arrange so frequently since tutorials are best done in the morning when the lighting is good. I'll try my best but I can't make promises. I'm also not very familiar with other people's features as I'm so used to putting makeup on myself so I'd have to practice a few times before I can actually do a proper tutorial to post up.
Q: Why don't you do a tutorial using a particular brand?
A: Brand does not matter AT ALL when you're doing makeup. The items that I've listed down are merely to give you an idea of what you could use to achieve the look. There are many many alternatives out there especially when it comes to colors. You certainly do not have to use the brands that I've used. Makeup is all about improvising. Think about it. When I copy celebrity looks or looks from other people's pictures, I don't use the same stuff as they do. The aim is to achieve the end look and the steps are to show you how to do it. What you use to do your makeup is entirely up to you.
Q: [Insert question where the answer is already quite obviously in the post]
A: I take the trouble to type things out not because I wanna talk to myself. The intention is to provide my readers with information. If you seek for a particular information, please refer to the post and read through it, making sure that the answer you're looking for is not there before you ask me the question.

wonderful answers :D
Good idea to do a FAQ page. Sure beats answering the same questions over and over :P
Hello dear, thank you for visiting my blog!! I love your entries as you are absolutely hilarious and so full of charm! And your color combinations are just dazzling O_O *Adds to bookmark*!!
this is a good one. no need to answer Qs over and over again
Lolz, next time need to read this page before asking any questions ;P
FYI, I think for the Daiso question, there's free bus to Ikano or Curve from Kelana Jaya LRT station.
Jessica: there's a bus but it's utterly hopeless. The last few times I tried taking it, at least one hour of waiting! or longer -_-
Just to let u know, there will be a new Daiso store in ioi mall, puchong soon....
Their signboard is up this week...
This is a good idea.. Posting FAQ is a great thing! =)
I think you can update that there are also Daisho stores in Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka and One Borneo, Sabah.

Your comments will help encourage me so please don't hesitate to leave one.
However, I only ask that you'd take a look at the FAQ page before asking a question.
