If you don't know me already, I'm all for cheap cheap cheap especially when it comes to eyeshadows. Why spend 65 bucks (example!) for a single eyeshadow when you can get wonderfully pigmented colors at a very tiny fraction of the price. But of course, not all cheap eyeshadows are good. Are you gonna guess which one's the sucky one? The palette from Rimmel or Daiso? RM15.90 or RM5?

When I swatched Rimmel Color Rush Duo Eyeshadow in Limelight I already knew that the powders were way too loose to make the shadow stick. I bought this duo anyway because I loved the green color and I thought my Urban Decay Primer Potion would be able to make this work.To my dismay, the shadow still looked sucky with poor color payoff even with a base but at least the staying power was improved. This will probably be good for sheer looks but not something I'd reach for often unless I need that particular color.
Five bucks and worth every penny! Check out those swatches! The Jewel Eyecolor has great color payoff and that teal blue I love so much is the second one from the bottom. It even has gold shimmer. So pretty! The other colors nice too but I don't wear them too often since they're cool colors. Honestly, I bought this palette just for that teal blue. The shadows are not overly frosty and doesn't have that creamy/easy-to-crease texture compared to the other Daiso palette that I have. Overall, great texture with an unbelievable price tag. I wanna get the other shades too! Ooh, the palette comes with a tiny mirror where the applicator is. Quite handy!Tutorial using this palette. Well, the Teal from it.
In other words, go get this if you haven't :)

Wow the blue palette is really pretty! I got myself one in purple and the staying power is so much better than some of the eyeshadow 7 times it's price. Sad. Since i am a bargain and cheap freak XP i got some of my eyeshadows from the pasar malam, it's pretty pigmented! Anyways, thank you for reviewing! And Happy 1 year Anniversary SkinDeco~! Woohooo

Daiso Jewel Eyecolor is my next grab after reading Lynn's page...another raiding for me in Daiso~ :P
I totally agree on buying cheap but good eyeshadows. In fact, I just bought tons last week and one today. haha! :)
I'm going to ask Bee to help me get the Jewel Eyecolour from Daiso :)
As for Rimmel shadows, I'm disappointed in them too. They're supposed to be matte, but have lousy colour pay off. Not worth getting even though it's cheap.
lol.
