Being an avid foundation user, I've never had much of a soft spot for cream blush since they tend to budge my foundation. I Nuovi has done it again by creating a cream to powder blush with I Nuovi Cheek Blush that goes over and under foundations in every single form without budging it! As I've said before, it's not difficult to fall in love with I Nuovi. In this post, I'm reviewing I Nuovi Colours D36 Pressed Pigment Blusher as well. Read on for the reviews and sales info too!
The cream blush comes in a tube with a slanted applicator, which made me mistaken this as a lipgloss initially! I think this is a very hygienic packaging that gives a lot of control over the product compared to most cream blushers that come in pans (NYX, Stila, Maybelline). I was pretty freaked out by the color at first because Dolly was practically a neon orange. Thankfully, I was assured that on the cheeks, it will look natural. You can see for yourself in the following pictures. This blush comes in two other shades; Urbanite (Rose Pink) and Fashionista (Bright Pink). I'm have my eye on Urbanite!
My way of applying it is to squeeze a dollop of the mousse-textured blush on the back of my hand then with my fingertips, dab the blush where I want it to go. A little goes a long way! Following that, I blend the blush with my Silk Naturals Fiber Optic Brush. I usually apply this blush after my foundation and before my powder for a more natural look. I've tried using the blush over powder as well and it didn't cake up the powder, which is so cool! The blush is so easy to blend I would've thought it was a powder blush. The lasting power is great as well as compared to powder blushers that disappear after less than 4 hours. You can use this as a base for your powder blush as well so that you'll still have some color on your cheeks even after the powder blush has faded.
Quite pretty, doncha think? The Cheek Blush retails for RM60.
Due to the sales, I picked up a Colours D36 Pressed Pigment Blusher in Chiffon (there wasn't a lot of colors to choose from in the clearance section). It's a matte pale peachy shade that although looks rather sheer on the hand, actually comes up pigmented on the cheeks. It's easy to blend but you may need a few layers of blush to get the color to stay on for hours. No doubt, this a decent product if only I had gotten it in a shade that's more suitable for me. Granted, this was one of the lightest shades.
Very natural and would probably have shown up better on lighter skin tones! A gorgeous color nonetheless. The Colours D36 comes in 24 shades and retails for RM55.I Nuovi 40% Storewide Sale!!
Thanks to SecretBaby for the tip! I've called I Nuovi to confirm and yes, they're having a storewide sale until end of April 2009. This is the best time to get your hands on I Nuovi products! I hope the recent I Nuovi reviews would be helpful :)

Lynn: Yes. Storewide would mean "all items". and all items would be "eyelashes" too. :)
ehh... I don't think it's like "buy 1 pair lash and get 1 tutorial free". but you can ask them to show you how to apply the lashes. they can't say no right?
