Remember the days of one-wash eyeshadows? I shudder to think of the slapped-on frosty pink shadow equipped with harsh unblended lines...Thanks to hi-tech makeup science, I Nuovi has brought one-wash eyeshadows to a whole new multi-dimensional level. Metallogy will save you time and effort on busy/lazy/mood-less days when you want makeup to be fast but still pretty.
One-wash has never looked so good...

I Nuovi's D27 and TruColour eyeshadows are awesome in my books and the Metallogy ones are no exception. Looking like shiny space pebbles, the chrome-colored packaging makes it difficult to look for the color that I want in my stash. Other than that, everything else about this eyeshadow is wonderful. With the powder having a creamy texture, blending is a breeze even for newbies. Whether you're using a brush or finger, ample color is picked up and is deposited on the lids just as well. The eyeshadows adheres quickly and securely on the lids so there's little to no mess and you can be sure that your eyeshadow will stay put for hours.
Usually I'd stay away from frosty or highly-shimmered eyeshadows since they tend to make my lids look swollen but the Metallogy eyeshadows give an interestingly different finish. I Nuovi calls it "Liquid Metal" and I couldn't agree more. The colors give a dimensional effect besides metallic shine and shimmer so the eyeshadow color will recede in contoured areas of the eye such as the crease. How smart is that? There are 16 colors in the Metallogy range but I have only 3 in my posession:
Tin - Gunmetal grey with old gold sheen. I use this the most because it's really a fool-proof color for one-wash looks. However, I seldom use it together with other eyeshadows... no idea why
Bronze - Bright bronze. Also great for one-wash and excellent when combined with darker eyeshadows. It's a rather pinkish bronze so I don't use this when I have allergy-stricken lids
Ore - Soft black. Least shiny out of the three. I almost never use this for one-wash for reasons unknown. Perhaps I just prefer this for times when I need a soft black that gives more dimension compared to a flat matte black. Very easy to work with if you're doing smokey eyes. Simply apply a main color of choice on the lid and work Ore from the outer corner and into the crease
In this look, Tin is used on the entire lid with some highlight under the browSee Metallogy being used in the following tutorials: [one, two]

I love the Metallogy, but they crease on me, so without a primer I can't wear them alone :(

I totally agree that the metallogy e/s are great for even newbies. It's definitely foolproof and there's no going wrong with this one. Haha, I'm reapeating everything you just said. I feel like with these e/s, the looks can be interesting but still minimalistic. Tin looks good on you!
