Review: Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer

Although I love trying out new products and hardly replenish any of my makeup, finding a good concealer means that I'll stay loyal. For the past few months, I've been struggling to conceal my deepened dark eye circles. My trusty e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer doesn't work anymore and Missha Perfect Concealer is a tad too heavy for daily use. I Nuovi Undercover concealed beautifully but the hassle of having to blend with a brush bugs me.

And then I discovered Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer... No more concealer-hunting for now
Read on for the review

I choose value-for-money over innovative packaging any day but I can't say that I don't find the click-pen handy. A few strokes, pat pat pat and done! As with most click-pens, overclicking will be an issue, causing the concealer to overflow but with sufficient practice, one should get the hang of it soon enough. The attached brush is soft and firm, applying the concealer without a lot of streaks.

Revlon claims that the formula contains skin care ingredients to energize, brighten and strengthen the skin around the the eye area while protecting against fine lines. I doubt there has been any improvements to my eye area concerns but it's simply a good concealer that I need and a good concealer is what I got. The formula conceals without looking unnatural, blends effortlessly, doesn't cake, and remains "fresh" for hours. So, it could be a little more moisturizing... My shade is 03 Medium and it's as natural as it can get. Quick tip: Don't choose a shade that's too light compared to your natural skin tone or you'd have a reversed effect with bright eye circles. It doesn't look as nice as it sounds.

Even though I love the finishing that I Nuovi Undercover gives me, I use the Revlon Spa Concealer daily simply because it's more user-friendly.

At RM39.90, the price isn't too bad either. Available in most outlets where Revlon products are sold. Comes in four shades but only three are available in Malaysia.

Hi Connie,

You're absolutely right about the "bright under-eye circles"! It makes purple eye bags even more ashy and grotesque and seems to be part of the hideous repertoire of make-up that girls do (I still remember your parody! Haha!). I can't seem to find things that work for me from Revlon because I have really fair skin :(

Love how simply to use it but it can be quite drying from the pic I see? Correct me?

Btw, I think you have beautiful eyes :)))

Plue: Could be cuz I was lucky enough to come across a fresh tester and that convinced me to buy it on the spot. And you know that buying without reading up on reviews doesn't happen very often to me!

Sherry: Not necessary but since it's built in, might as well. I still prefer fingers

Fifi: Good luck looking for it! glad this review helped

Aly: Not my fault!!! :p

Jasmine: And I usually have trouble finding shades cuz I have darker than average Asian skin tone. Guess being too fair isn't a good thing either! Shade 01 is quite fair though

Jojoba: Mmmhmm... it doesn't hurt the pocket much either

Faye: Get it! And thank you :)

Celine: The picture was when it was freshly applied. As mentioned, I thought it could be more moisturizing but once the concealer is settled after an hour or so, it doesn't look dry anymore.

Thanks for your compliment :)
